Dr. Jeffrey Bryer

Professional Training & Experience

My professional education began with a B.A. degree (1973) in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. I then worked at the Yale Psychiatric Institute and the Connecticut Mental Health Center before receiving two graduate degrees from Boston University: Ed.M. (1977) and Ed.D. (1981) in Counseling Psychology.

I practiced in Wellesley, Massachusetts at the Charles River Hospital throughout the 1980s. While at the hospital, I served as Director of Psychology, Director of Adult Services, and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (Psychology) in the Division of Psychiatry of the Boston University School of Medicine.

In 1989, I returned to Pennsylvania to establish West Chester Psychiatric Associates along with my colleagues: Dr. Stuart Levy, a psychiatrist, and Dr. Suzanne Levy, a doctoral-level, psychiatric nurse specialist. We maintain a multidisciplinary, outpatient, mental health clinic offering a range of services.
